Australia, the country that is having the problem with them, is part of the East. I myself, who lives in Texas which embodies the West, know how to cook and eat carp just fine. However still, it is a pain to prepare and doesn’t taste all that great. There are many other fishes around here that are a better catch.

In my experience carp are one of the harder fishes to prepare for eating. Scaling them and dealing with all the bones is more effort than it is worth.
