Largely, but not entirely. I think its a combo of safety standards and design. They don’t want cars to look weird to accommodate safety standards, and without making them look weird, they end up with reduced visibility.

The lack of visibility. That seems to be widespread but isn’t really a feature. I have to crane my neck to see around my rear view mirror and all the sensors when going around on-ramps.
