The Vega might have been a shitshow, but there were some interesting ideas around it - like the Vert-A-Pac rail car system, which allowed GM to ship 30 Vegas for the price of 15-18 normal cars.

Why are 3PO and R2 even in these films? They’ve been completely wasted and pointless. R2 spends the majority of a film under a tarp, and his role in the story could have been replaced by a thumb drive.
