You’d be surprised how many people don’t know this. I worked in a gas station for a few years and every time I sold a bottle of oil, I’d ask if they knew how to pour it without making a mess. They would look at me like “Duh!” and then when I showed them this it was like I had worked a miracle.

I buy a lot of t-shirts from Woman Within because I can get them in tons of colors, with a v-neck and 3/4 or long sleeves. Sometimes the quality is uneven but they’re cheap and so I don’t feel bad buying a handful a couple of times a year. The ones that pill or wear out become lounge- or sleepwear.

I’m 52 and buy jeans at Torrid, if that makes you feel any better. I try to steer away from the obviously not age appropriate ones, but I’ve even gotten some of those because they FIT. My 24-YO daughter persuaded me to look because the last time I had been in a Torrid was with her when she was a teenager.

Oh, yes! I used to put iron-on patches on the inside of the thighs my new jeans to reinforce them because I knew they were gonna wear out there long before the rest even got broken in. But, shit, lately all the jeans I’m finding that fit and I can afford (hint: <$100) are so thin the patches show.
