Not in my experience. I'm a therapist and I've only had one client in the past with multiple personalities, and it's not nearly as dramatic as it is presented in film. With therapy they are able to develop what's called "co-consciousness" though, which enables them to be more aware of what's going on and have more of

Did you see Lady in the Water? I did. I paid to see that junk.

Is the twist that he doesn't really have a split personality? Because if that's the twist, I'm going to be pissed. Kind of like the twist in The Village, which you could predict from the goddamn trailer.

Ah, see I didn't know that, that's very interesting. I was under the impression that they did not have an ending planned and were coming up with stuff as they went. That was based on hearsay, of course. If that ending was something they seriously had planned from the beginning, then that makes me even more

He's not perfect as a person, but he pronounces dogma perfectly, if that makes any sense. And that distinction is part of why I'm so interested to see this show—all the clips I've seen have made him look very fallible as a person, indeed.

OMG, I remember seeing this film years ago. I thought I had misremembered or perhaps had some kind of fever dream. Thank you for this!

A note to the author: "papal infallibility" is often misunderstood. The pope does not believe himself to be infallible, but rather his authority on the doctrine is necessarily true and "infallible." A small point, but an important one.

Amanda has really redeemed herself, IMO. I could not stand her in her season, but she seems to have grown and mellowed a lot as a person—and she seems to have upped her game quite a bit.

Well, I saw it—and I really enjoyed it! I would probably go with B/B+. It's not my favorite in the series, but I think it was quite good.

I haven't seen Ghostbusters yet, so I can't speak to that. I can't see why Rogue One would end up as a "culture war battlefield" in this case, though—I read that they worked hard to make it congruent with the universe, why would there be a culture war about it?

Well, I'll see it for myself and then make up my mind. I don't like to read reviews before I see the movie.

It has an 82% in Rotten Tomatoes. What makes you think it's awful? Did you see a preview or something?

Speaking of Jeff Buckley, I wish I could hear What is and What Should Never Be again for the first time. I've seldom heard a song that I found so triumphant and heartbreaking at the same time.

They're not really, IMO. The park is the cover, but it's a money pit. The board wants it for something more nefarious. It could be something like military use, or, in my view, it's something akin to cloning—making doubles of people to replace them when they die. They'd make great spies.

Poor Paul—he seems like such a nice guy, and it's really weird that L wouldn't take an interest in him and remember him. That just doesn't fit who she is, IMO. That whole scene in the kitchen just made me cringe.

Paris always struck me as more of a Camille Paglia feminist than a Gloria Steinem feminist.

She was always obnoxious, but I try to cut people slack when it comes to parents' deaths. Losing a parent can make you seriously crazy—you have to deal with the fact that you'll never have closure for your issues, and it can take a while to really accept that and move on.

Huh, I didn't realize Bridget Jones was actually an example of a good accent. I learned a lot from this video.

The timeline theory is starting to make more sense, but I was hoping they wouldn't go that direction. However, that would make sense, especially with the earlier scenes between Bernard and Dolores being flashbacks instead of present day.
