Wow…I just started watching this show (very late, I know) and this is one of the first comments I see about it…you seem like your levels might be off—and your punctuation levels are definitely off the charts. Take a break from the Internet—and the TV, if you're offended by gay people kissing. Also, I guess non-white

I think of the East German musical "Hot Summer" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…, which is amazing. It's a teen summer romance movie a la "Bean Blanket Bingo" but…with themes that the communist government approved. Because at that point in East Germany, filmmakers had no freedom and artistic content was controlled by the

I thought it was cute, but I agree, it was too broad when it should have been cutting and more clever. And it definitely was "of its time" in the same way that Election was.

I'm not often crushingly disappointed by show cancellations, but I was really bummed when they cancelled Carnivale. I know it was expensive, and I know it was sometimes painfully slow, but it was good, IMO. Really good. I liked it so much I bought it on DVD and have appreciated it even more upon rewatching.

This would make sense, especially considering the monster was first discovered in an isolation tank, and isolation tanks are often used for meditation and deep exploration of one's consciousness (and, perhaps in this show, the unconscious as well). If we're looking at this from a psychodynamic perspective it makes

Ning Zetao is beautiful, IMO. Nathan Adrian is handsome in a goofy but charming Brendan Fraser kind of way.

I think some of the panelists they picked didn't really contribute much—I disagree that the conversations were consistently "thoughtful" but that might be a function of the limited time they had and number of people involved in the conversation. One thing the Daily Show has is the opportunity to generate more profound

I think by "artistic" he means "good," or "more like The Dark Knight."

It's one of my favorite things Mike Nichols did, and definitely the best thing Calista Flockhart ever did. I've rewatched it probably a dozen times, and I find something new to appreciate it each time. Best line: "…I just never realized John Wayne walked like that."

What, no love for No Diggity? Also, wasn't that the year that Prince started referring to himself simply as "The Artist?"

Hey, sorry, I didn't realize.

Secrets & Lies is so damn good. That was the film that introduced me to

I will be very disappointed if there's no joke in this movie about how hot dogs come in packages of 10 and buns come in packages of 8. It basically writes itself.

Yeah…still not going to see it. This could have easily been a dark but elegant 15 minute short animated film. As it stands now, every clip I've seen from this film made me cringe, and I'm not even willing to spend my time seeing it for free let alone pay for it.

Huh, I've heard before that Vin Diesel can be kind of a diva, but "candy ass" is pretty harsh.

Yeah, throw some glass fruit in a centerpiece and some chintz curtains and that describes my early memories.

I am continually impressed by how absolutely perfect they got the look of this show. I might as well have grown up in Will's house (although we had Mike's basement). Whoever scouted locations needs a raise, too—it's like they had a time machine back to 1983.

Is this where I confess my shame that I bought (and liked) "So Much for The Afterglow?"

TWO simple questions — she also asked "Am I Strong Enough?" In 1996 I was asking myself "am I strong enough to put up with hearing 'Foolish Games' by Jewel one more time on the radio.

Seriously. People don't usually agree with me on that, but I find few bands as obnoxious as Oasis. Maybe Coldplay ties with them in my opinion.
