She wrote the song for the movie. She was nominated for an Oscar for it because it was her original work for the movie.

Addicted to Love, When a Man Loves a Woman, Down with Love, Sweet Home Alabama, Boogie Nights, Can't Hardly Wait, Pretty Woman, Pretty in Pink, Stand By Me, My Girl, Blue Velvet, Soul Man, Dream a Little Dream, Some Kind of Wonderful, Only the Lonely, Running Scared, Save the Last Dance. That's all I can think of.

Yeah, it makes me sad that I've now gotten older than most of the writers on the staff and remember the Reagan administration.

It's inflation. It used to be the 70s but now it's the 80s, duh, do you even math?

Unfortunately, I was so turned off by the movie (even at the time it came out when I was smack dab in the age range they were aiming for), I never had any interest in the show. Maybe I should go back and check it out…

Oh god, I thought that was just me. I like the intro without the music fine, but there's something so obnoxious and sophomoric about it. The rest of the show is aces though, IMO.

The Rutles came out in 1978. I would argue Spinal Tap owes a huge debt to that.

But why does Texas, specifically, ask "Who named Pluto?" The guy who discovered Pluto was from Illinois…

I like how TN has the What is popcorn lung? / Is vaping safe? combo plus the question about whether or not unicorns are real.

I'm not too surprised. Although the series was never intended to continue, the set up is perfect for creating new storylines—how will new sets of people deal with the scenario? The premise is like creative writing heaven. There are almost infinite possibilities.

I've always thought "Do You Love Me" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds is a good montage song, and everyone loves a good montage.

I think part of that was because there just wasn't that much good on in the same time slot (at least not on the regular networks). I remember watching this nutty show with my mom. It was part of the Wednesday night lineup after Doogie Howser. What else was there to watch, Hunter? Lame. Of course, that was before I

This is one of my favorite Altman movies, and definitely my favorite movies about movies. The gas chamber scene—brilliant.

Why, why, oh why did anyone think this was a good idea? I love Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage and (usually) Sudeikis. I find Josh Gad a little annoying, but I can't deny he's a major stage presence. He was a year ahead of me in college and he was buzzed about as a brilliant comic talent then, and he still is now, and
