I thought I could rely on the kindness of strangers or at least the help of flight attendants to get my bag in the overhead bin when I had to take eight flights while six months (and visibly, clearly, obviously) pregnant. Out of all the flights a stranger helped me once, a flight attendant helped me no times and when

If I didn’t live a state away and already have three dogs and a new baby.... But look at that face! And her little leggy body remind me of one of mine:

We rescued a Border Collie mix a number of years ago and he is not exactly agile. He can't jump more than a few inches off the ground to catch anything and whenever he does jump to catch something and gets all four feet off the ground his eyes register nothing but PURE FEAR. WHERE DID THE EARTH GO???? PANIC!!!

The worst haircut of my life was just before my sophomore year of high school. I used to spend summers on my grandparents' farm in Iowa. On one of the few times we drove the 45 minutes into town I decided to get a haircut at the Great Clips in the mall.

My husband does about 98% of all cooking in our house and, as a result, I've essentially forgotten how to feed myself. When ever he's gone my food pyramid shrinks to a base of carbs and dairy. Cheese and crackers. Macaroni and cheese. Cereal and milk. Sometimes I make scrambled eggs and toast and feel so smug

When I became engaged to the mister I definitely left out the part where he was dating my friend then as soon as they broke up we "hung out" for about a year until I got super drunk, sat on his chest and asked if he wanted to be my boyfriend. ~romance isn't dead~

I sat across from this guy a few weeks ago... maximum bulkhead utilization.

Agreed. I follow a similar purge process except I sort into three groups: Toss , Sell/Donate, Keep

I DIY more than my husband because, even though he's great at lots of things, I just can't trust him with home projects. He started painting the kitchen of our old house one day while I was at work. He painted all the way up to the top of the walls, stopped, asked himself, "I wonder if she wants the ceiling

I also handcrafted the majority of my wedding and loved it. That being said, I helped with a friend's wedding and she could not successfully glue one thing to another thing without a full-fledged emotional meltdown.

YAY FOR MUTTS.

AMEN, laundry hater for life. Laundry has so many ruuuuuuuuuuules. Lights, darks, gentle, ultra hot setting, fabric softener yes/no, bleach yes/no, tumble dry, hang dry, lay flat to dry, hand wash. Even once you navigate through all of that you still have to put it away. Never ending.

I didn't really pick official colors in the beginning... they just came together as I picked things I liked for decor. Starting with vintage thermoses instead of vases and making yarn poofs because YAY CRAFTS. I gave the thermoses and poofs to our florist and was like, "flowers in here, please," and they did the rest.

I blame kinja/my iPad/the internet - all together and all at once.

Snared? Really. How about shared.
Speaking of shared....

I just love mystery mutts. We have three, some more mysterious than others. A mostly border collie mix, and two suspected basenji mixes. I love them all and I am loving all the snared dog photos.

<3 one of my three dogs we suspect is basenji/chihuahua.
This is Fritter. She is my dog model. Too weird looking to be traditionally pretty, too striking to ignore.

Ooh. I like this idea.... Do you happen to have a link to the original pattern?

This made me feel so many things. I've typed, deleted, retyped, rewritten, deleted again, added, edited, etc. this comment and the bottom line is that I have too many feeling to pour into a comment box. I grew up in a household with a father who was physically abusive to my mother and emotionally abusive to me. She
