The GAME will be played in Santa Clara, because that’s where the stadium is. The bulk of the event’s impact, though, is in San Francisco, because nobody wants to spend any more time in Santa Clara than is absolutely necessary— so all the corporate boosterism baloney is happening in San Francisco.

Don’t forget to mention that this is all being pushed on the residents of a city that isn’t even home to the actual Super Bowl. The SF politicians sold the city at no cost to the NFL and all costs to the city.

Reading the demands the city of Minneapolis allowed the NFL to get away with, there isn’t *one* of those that didn’t sound plausible.
