That’s strange. Was your point that Clinton has said exponentially worse things and you didn’t make a peep about them?

My point is “support your candidate, don’t denigrate the other” also means, for me, don’t shit on people who support “the other” candidate. Making sweeping generalizations based on your Facebook feed isn’t helpful. I have the exact opposite anecdotal experience, but I’m not up and down this thread talking about how

Two threads up, you’re making sweeping generalizations about how “Bernsters” are aggressive and off-putting. Maaaaaybe that’s not so much helping in this respect.

Watch “The Big Short” and you will change your tune.

It’s so easy to criticize.

Especially since, y’know, not all of America lives in NYC or rides the subway. Contrary to what Gawker and so many other media employees may sometimes think.

I think you kind of buried the lede on this. The president does not need to ride the subway. The president should have some concept of how they would execute their campaign promises.

She was for subway tokens before she was against them.

Now playing

The leaks were a lot more casual than is being reported

Yep, it’s right there in the video. :)

Guilty... I bought the season pass for Rainbow 6: Siege..

Jones is being pissy but he’s being completely cooperative. Is it normal for the cop to be a fucking asshole right back? To serve and protect...with a side of sass?

I have to side with Jones on this one. If he really did something illegal, how do you explain him still being in the car?

So, ignoring international law, you think killing civilians is going to help? You’re literally helping groups like isis write their recruiting material: “look! They’re coming here to kill everyone, why not help us go attack them?!”

Mister Gillis! I knew that Kipling had a connection to Cecil Rhodes and the whole Rhodesia/Zimbabwe connection. But that felt too circuitous to cite as the reason for the naming. Guess I was wrong. One of the best parts of re-reading the series was rediscovering the Order of the Panther spy network. A great concept.

You just made me realize Always Sunny represents a diverse segment of the U.S. voting public.

BIRDIE SANDERS.

A very good article. (I even like the ‘frenzied’ and ‘florid.’) Two things: Our series was in 1988, not 1998: you got it right the second time. The other is that Roy’s ‘Rudyarda’ was more of a reference to the country of Rhodesia, which, at the time, was also under tyrannical white rule, and named after Cecil Rhodes.

This wasn’t intended to be an exhaustive survey of every series. I was mainly interested in the context of the big pivots the character’s gone through, assuming basic knowledge on the part of the reader. I love the DD guest appearances and the kinship those two have, though.
