Well, I just spent the good majority of a Halloween party watching the Mets lose in quite the Mets-ian fashion. I've been conditioned to this kind of failure for years as a fan, but this is terrible. Oh, and Crazy-Ex Girlfriend seems funny so far.

I'll agree with Mr. Handlen that I found myself looking away from the screen during those home movies when I saw Sinister. I just find the banality of 8mm film capturing such horrible acts terrifying.

I'm always willing to give the benefit of the doubt to a movie that is original, and a lot of people seem unwilling to do so with this film. in retrospect there are plenty of criticisms that can be leveled, but that is forgetting that this was marketed largely as a traditional horror film-A cute, Joss Whedon approved…

I'll have to check him out. It's probably better for my sanity then re-watching The X-Files and thinking that Mulder is right.

I have a completely irrational fear of alien abduction, so Signs terrifies me. That first shot where Gibson sees the alien on the roof of the barn and his encounter in the corn field at night gets me every time.
