There was some theorising over at Bleeding Cool earlier that he might be taking on Zatanna. He did an interview about 15 years ago and she was his answer to the question of which DC character he would most like to write. Scott Snyder also recently replied to a fan on Twitter asking about her saying that there are…
I’d hope not, I don’t even have a twitter. If that had happened I’d mostly just want to know who the hell has been impersonating me on twitter and why are they apparently so much better at being me than I am?
Sorry for the late reply, Kinja wasn’t giving me notifications and I only just found out. Did want to reply to a couple of these, though.
Sorry, I only just realised that Kinja wasn’t sending me notifications. I’d assumed my original comment had slipped into the greys. Imagine my surprise. Bit late now, but I did want to reply to a couple of these anyway.
There’s some circumstantial evidence that his first project might be Zatanna. Apparently in a 15 year old interview, when asked which DC character he’d most like to write, she was his answer. Scott Snyder recently replied to a tweet asking about her saying “there are plans”. Well, he actually said “snalp era ereht”,…
Oh look, it’s another Mark Millar comic about a secret society living secretly in our world without anyone realising because of how secret they are. Oh, and he’s decided to rip off Zatanna, Zatara and John Constantine while he’s at it. Along with, presumably, his usual generic everyman protagonist who is actually ever…
I was born in 1982. Back then, we were right at the beginning of a personal computer boom in the UK thanks to Clive Sinclair. The Sinclair Spectrum had 48k of RAM and loaded software from audio cassettes. A lot of predictions about consumer level hardware at the time were mostly concerned with how many phone books…
Neebs are great. I’ve been fans of theirs since the days they were just doing animation. I’m still not really on board with the whole streaming thing, but I love their YouTube channel. Their Subnautica playthrough is one of the most entertaining I’ve ever seen.
Just posted this comment on another site, but it’s worth sharing here
First game was about the same. First expansion launched in December after a September launch for the core game.
I always took it more that his family was his one chance to get away from that and become a functional human being. Whatever his wife saw in him, he seemed to keep a lid on the darkness within him for a while. With them gone... Nothing left to keep him sane and stable.
I’m sort of attempting to use dating apps at the moment. And holy shit, am I ever failing at it. And I think I’m like... Basically alright. I’m not hideous, I can hold a reasonably engaging conversation, my first message will tend to start conversation based on something from the other person’s profile, have no…
Sorry, I can’t figure out how to quote text on mobile so I’ll deal with your points one by one as best I can.
I think there is certainly an argument that superheroes shouldn’t kill. Or at least, that all ages interpretations of them should exist in pop culture for people to enjoy without having to debate the moral complexities of guys who wear their underwear on the outside.
The problem there is, *lots* of Marvel heroes in the MCU kill. Tony Stark was not firing rubber bullets at those guys in the first Iron Man movie. Yondu murdered a ship full of mutineers in GotG 2 to a jaunty soundtrack. Black Widow carries guns.
I kinda don’t mind S&M Airlines! The cover of Go Your Own Way is genuinely decent!
Together on the Sand...
Interesting question. The answer is... Probably. It’s set on November 22nd and 23rd 1992. Geoff Johns has said the date is important. In the real world, that weekend saw the release of Superman #75. The issue in which he “died” at the hands of Doomsday.
