It’s a silly argument, really. 3DS launched with a bunch of titles and the most appealing on for me on day 1 was a fairly lousy Ridge Racer game. That had such a lousy first six months Nintendo had to slash the price so deep that early adopters got 20 VC games as an apology. 3DS ended up as a complete juggernaut.

So, for a bit of extra perspective...

He used to go by Besieger and he’s agreed to appear under that name in the novel to avoid any potential legal issues.

I cannot fail to star any commenter who brings The Replacements into the conversation. Good shout.

I have actually found this a really fascinating question about Poppy. She’s not just a YouTuber, she’s an artist signed to Island records. The project is, at least on some level, a satire of the mainstream music industry. So... Is it a clever fuck you to the music industry that Titanic Sinclair is taking their money

Jesus christ, nobody tell Smogon about this. CAP will never be the same. Weeks of arguments about the precise mechanics of Wharmwbra Darp

I dunno, man. That carapace is made of metal and those edges look sharp. I’d imagine it would not be dissimilar to sticking your dick in a cigar cutter.

I really wanted to call his sister Horseback but it doesn’t let you rename the twin.

Even if there’s no metal in it, this wouldn’t happen. If it’s just sitting on the desk, it would just fall over. If it’s screwed down, it’s way more likely to bend and maybe snap at the stand because it’s a fulcrum and physics. Even if the thing was completely braced top and bottom (which it isn’t) you aren’t gonna

Sure. We don’t have remotely enough information on that time period to really know all the sociopolitical implications of the Prothean empire, nor, as you you, exactly how realistic and unprejudiced Javik’s personal view of things was. Again, to go back to my theoretical example of future Ashley, her viewpoint on

I’ll be fair, it’s been a long time since I’ve played it and I don’t recall the stuff he says well enough to quibble over the details. Suffice to say it sounds like you remember the specifics better than I do so you’re probably right. Whether that makes them significantly worse than the contemporary council races for

Well, Javik was kind of an abrasive prick, but he was pretty much just a footsoldier who ended up in fairly extreme circumstances. If the Reaper cycle had continued and some hypothetical far future civilisation had woken say, Ashley up 40,000 years after everyone she knew had died and expected her to solve every

Kiiiiinda want them to send an unpatched copy to the McElroy brothers, because this is a recipe for the greatest episode of Monster Factory ever

Jermaine Jackson called one of his kids Jermajesty, which... I’m not even sure if that’s more or less insane than YourMajesty, but I guess at least it established some precedent?

I’m over 90 shrines now. After 80, enemies start getting particularly tough. All the Lynels are white or silver now. Although I love those fights. I’ll quite often go hunt a few of those if I want to use up some decent weapons to clear my inventory.

Well, I think there’s a few reasons why there’s a benefit to it. Look at Bethesda games as an example. In Elder Scrolls games, after a few hours of play, I’ll find a decent weapon, be it from a dungeon chest or a quest reward or from crafting. From that point on, that’s all I’ll use, because why would I use anything

I’m yet to run into a weapon in BotW that I have not collected multiples of. There’s no weapon that you will never see again, often with a better perk attached.

As a counterpoint: enemy difficulty scales with your completion rate (primarily for shrines I believe). Weapons appropriate for the enemies you will be facing are always plentiful.

Hope you like them, man. Restorations have been one of my favourite new bands of the last few years. They’ve got a kind of Fugazi meets early Pearl Jam thing going on. They put out three albums in consecutive years 11-14 and they’re all great. Looking forward to what they come out with next

Recommendations from another old who grew up during the same era as you (I turn 35 this year so I’m assuming we’re a similar-ish age) and loves to discover new music: Restorations, Hop Along and Pale Angels are all amazing current bands who owe a ton to the grunge era.
