Well, the Scarface game did pretty well, and that was what, a good 25 years after the movie? Plus, there's a new Mad Max movie on the way with Tom Hardy in the lead role, and if that's a success then there'll be a whole new generation of fans interested in picking up the game.

It was fun enough to play, but the plot was incomprehensible shite. Best played with the volume down and some nice loud music on.

Unrealistically for the one-ton green dude, you mean?

Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, you are missed. Prototype was good, but it just wasn't the same.

Just the one. I bought a preowned Xbox in '09 (I'd been a lifelong Nintendo gamer until that point, but I finally caved when I saw Fallout 3), and the GPU crapped out within a week of me buying it. I took it back and payed a few extra quid for an officially reconditioned one, which I assume had already been through

"Exposed himself"? Man, the mental images you just gave me may never leave my brain...

Horrible, isn't it? You can say what you like about Nintendo (and boy, do they ever have their faults), but they've always been committed to making sure you can still play old games, be it via virtual console or physical backwards compatibility. All the complaints people have about the next gen machines, Nintendo has

I buy used, and I trade in. I rarely sell them for cash, 'cos it's just not worth it unless you're desperate for the money.

Wow, the N64 was only $200 at launch? Over here in the UK it was £250, which is about $375 or so. And games were £60 minimum (Turok was £70), which is 50% more than new games cost now, even without adjusting for inflation. I loved the hell out of that console, but holy shit it was a rip off.

I wouldn't feel that bad. They're the ones who haven't released the bloody thing. Hell, if they'd just released ep 3 in a sensible amount of time, people probably wouldn't be getting so insanely het up about what's coming next...

You know, I recall a lot of people didn't take the idea of MS getting into the console game very seriously either...

I do wonder if it might end up getting a reduction on next weeks' Gold DotW...

The original Deus Ex. The original Half-Life. The original X-Com. Played and loved all the sequels though, if that helps :)

Reasonable answer. I think it's fairly easy to say it would be nice to have a similar male statue in the knowledge that it's far less likely and far less common than the hundreds of statues like the one displayed in the article. But... well, it's the thought that counts, and at least the thought was there.

Yeah, a report button, if only to call the mods attention to things, is sorely needed.

I agree with pretty much every damn word you say here. But, small point, this

Just because you'd be OK with someone using your work without permission or attribution, it doesn't mean everyone has to be.

Now playing

Potentially a somewhat damning indictment of the Ouya, Stuart Ashen found a pre-release model in a UK second hand shop a couple of weeks ago. Even the kickstarter backers don't want them!

Well, that's just part one up there, and that's only ten minutes long, so why don't you give that a shot and see if you feel like watching parts 2-9 at your leisure?

You're a bra?
