That would put it at basically the same price as the current model.

They’re also definitely going to drive up prices for a segment of the population that’s barely scraping by already.
I learned this as a very drunk College student trying to get Taco Bell during drive through only hours. This policy absolutely encourages drunk driving and needs to be reconsidered, most of these places go drive through only during the same hours their core clientele are most likely shitfaced.
South Florida car dealers are all crooks. I recently went to look at a used C250 advertised for $6500. The dealer told me, with no apparent shame or guilt, that after fees the price would be closer to $12K. Literally DOUBLE the advertised price. It’s impossible to shop for a car down here.
Also, I can personally verify there is nothing preventing you from driving them with the sliding doors open at freeway speeds. Nothing at all.
You mean the good old days when someone would say they hit the lottery and wanted a mid engine supercar with a 200K budget and David Tracy would recommend they buy 200 rusty XJ Cherokees?
“And if anything goes wrong, Ineos has designed the Grenadier to be fixed quickly and easily.”
In BMW’s defense they made the exact car you are describing twice, the Z3 and Z4 coupes. Sadly neither sold very well.
The culmination of Vin Diesel’s career will be the inevitable Fast/Riddick crossover where they launch a car really really far into space and Dom meets Riddick. Think of the acting challenge!
I’m amazed there are that many, they are priced like Miatas and I can’t image anyone choosing the slingshot.
As a South Florida resident I fully believe no one owns Polaris Slingshots privately, they’re all “exotic” rental cars. No sane person would want a permanently roofless, windowless vehicle in a city where the weather varies between 100 degrees and torrential downpours.
Grid girls have been a part of F1 for many years, America does not have a monopoly on pretty girls at sporting events.
Hmm so it’s actually only about 5K less that the bigger, V6 TLX Type S. Obviously the Integra will appeal to a different buyer but that’s not a big price gap.
I’m not sure where the guy in this article scored a 3 day GA pass for $600, I was seeing much higher prices when I looked. I live in South Florida and would love to see the GP but for what they’re charging I can’t justify it.
It’ll be interesting to see what they do here. I liked Twisted Metal back in the day but it was never particularly heavy on story.
The point is collecting revenue, always has been. Any talk of safety is just window dressing.
If they made this a production “Heritage Edition” They could charge a small fortune and sell a ton of them.
I rent one of my cars on TURO, I have a tracker that plugs into the OBD II port and would easily be able to see if my car was abused. Everyone I know on TURO uses these trackers, and if I was renting a performance car like a Supra I would damn sure be using one.
A couple hundred bucks gets you a few hours on a 21' boat.
Amazingly these huge lots still aren’t enough. Miami airport parking isn’t big enough to make the list but they have about 8,000 spots between the garages. It’s pretty common for them to be full up on weekends.
