It still has a terrible, terrible name.

Came here for this, was not disappointed.

My mother had an Acura dealership “lose” the keys to her trade in and badger her for hours until she bought an MDX. My father called management at the dealership the next day and said if they didn’t take it back they were going to sue and report them to every consumer protection agency they could find. They agreed to

Fair enough, it probably makes sense as an off road focused trim package.

Have any of these niche sub brands ever taken off? Scion failed pretty spectacularly. Chrysler tried it with Ram and SRT as brands, also a failure. Volvo is making a go of it with Polestar which most people seem to regard as a bad idea. You can go further back and look at Saturn and Geo, both now gone. Apart from

I want to like the model 3 but they’ve gone too far with centralizing controls on the big screen. Tesla is in a good position now but in less than 5 years we should see plenty of offerings from legacy carmakers in the model 3s price range. Their lead is formidable but it won’t last.

As hinted at in the article, asking about range isn’t the right question. The question is: how built out does the charging infrastructure have to be for buyers to accept a lower range? People aren’t worried about range in ICE cars because they are confident they can find a gas station. I can get 350 highway miles out

I cannot stress how much I hate BMW turn signals. I imagine since none of their drivers use turn signals they just don’t care if the stalk work properly

I thought the same, only way this makes sense is if it’s some scam stealership pretending to be a private seller and $3600 is the down payment.

I’m surprised Tom, as the resident car buying expert, didn’t flag that Accord ad as total bullshit. The blue book value on that car is around 14K!

I really don’t get this thing. Is the sedan body just a style preference? I just don’t understand how this is preferable to a regular F250 with a cap over the bed.

I’ve started seeing Taycans pretty regularly where I live for a brand new product. Taycan has only been on the road for a few months, I imagine in a couple years Porsche and Audi EVs might become as common as Teslas.

Deleting the center console just makes the car feel like a minivan.

Great win! I wonder how he’d cope with Cadillac. Or Moskovitch.

These are all good and valid points but for the mileage and condition the price seems justified to me. This thing is a museum piece, probably the best one left on the road. Recent sales of oddball but pristine old vehicles on cars and bids and other auction sites indicate that rarity and great condition have value,

I don’t understand why Caddy hasn’t extended the V brand to their SUVs yet. Love them or hate them, performance SUVs sell and an XT5-V to compete with the Germans seems to be a natural move.

I am not at all upset that Mike Pence is on vacation in St Croix, in fact I hope he and Mother enjoy their trip so much they decide to make it their new home and permanently relocate.

I’m assuming her parents will pay for college regardless of her behavior and their relationship. It’s pretty shameful among rich people when your kid doesn’t attend college, for that reason alone I think they’d pay for her tuition.

I’ve heard the reason not to go below 1/4 tank is to avoid stressing the fuel pump. I killed the fuel pump on the Chrysler LHS I drove in College because I  was dead broke at the time and I could never afford to keep the car full.

I agree and disagree in part. Basically the only option cops have in situations like this is to remove Claudia and place her in the foster care system. As bad as Kellyanne is foster care could easily be much worse. In almost all situations short of physical and/or sexual abuse, police intervention against crappy
