Gaijin Hunter has just seen it in action in e3, and he’s pretty excited, that’s a huge endorsement from an old MH pro.

I guarantee a small minority will ask for a “real” 2D Metroid.
Yeah, I’ll be honest I don’t want stealth in MH. Being able to hide is one thing, but if I want stealth I’ll play MGS.
I saw this already, I don’t mind the new additions, but it’s precisely the old stuff that I want to see to appease my angst.
Or even better if you had several tv’s, I know...
That is a little reassuring.
Heather, how did the combat gameplay look to you, did it seem as complex and interesting as previous entries?
“Those of you who want me to be happy, do you have a favorite game series? Do you play it to death? Well I’m the developer, and the new iteration is NOT for you, it’s for others who don’t like how the game is now. Tell me your reaction? Thank you?”

If this becomes an attempt at simplifying MH to appeal to a larger group, they will definitely have lost me, and I think a…
As much as I hope it brings in a whole bunch of new MH fans, I also hope they didn’t water it down. I know a lot of people find MH confusing and uninviting, but I assure you that its greatest strength lies with its complex and highly rewarding combat. If they make the game easy and get rid of what makes the game…
I am on the fence, first of all I love portable MH because it’s more condusive to my life and work style. I also love playing with my friends in the same room. It would be a little easier to swallow if MHXX was confirmed for the west. As long as I can play both, I’ll be happy.
So, we’re not going to localize MHXX for the Switch in the West, but here is a Sushi game...
I’m ok with this evolution if the gameplay stays complex and rewarding. If this is some streamlined evolution that is made for plebs who can’t play anything harder than Assassin’s Creed I will be very upset.
