Penguin Mei all day, every day.

i know you can’t always have what was in the previous game, but gosh, Mei had really gorgeous outfits, and this one clearly isn’t on the same level

Yeah its kind of messed up but at the same time  in a team fight where you are getting attacked from mulitple people who is going to look up in the middle of a fight just to avoid a possible head shot? Doing that will get you killed by the anyone near by.

I 100% agree that not enough criticism is being leveled at Genshin Impact and its ilk, especially here at Kotaku, but this particular piece is less complaining about New World, and more about tearing Bezos down through the lens of juxtaposition.
It’s not really about gaming at all, it’s about billionaire tax avoidance.

Exactly.

The way I’d put it, it’s a game with great mechanics on a bleak world. All the running, grinding and going full on anime against bosses is fun despite the world it was put into. It’s a great foundation to improve on a sequel.

I beat the game a few days ago. Not sure why, but I was compelled to keep going once I started playing.

The problem here is that the director tried to insult our intelligence with a very, very stupid answer, not with a story justification.

Seriously, me too. I didn’t think I was asking for a lot, but I thought I was the only one.

I just want my pseudo-Europe to include some pseudo-Moors for once.

Maybe if anti-diversity hadn’t been forced down our throats for decades, you wouldn’t be having this so-called “problem”:

I don’t play many JRPGs so I can’t speak to that genre specifically but we’ve seen this recently in the fighting game space where after the reveal that Bridget from Guilty Gear was a trans woman, you had people of the absolute worst weab variety coming out of the woodwork to claim the following in sequence: it was a

Depends. One of the biggest hurdles to modern LAN parties is that most contemporary competitive multiplayer games are both Always Online and don’t feature local, offline multiplayer at all. More than just playing games in the same room, half the point of a LAN party was to be able to play with zero latency. Now, since

Except Andromeda was fine and was actually better in some ways than the OT (namely character depth from the start).

The ideas aren’t especially novel after Breath of the Wild redefined the open-world genre either

I find it astounding and not surprising (in equal measure) that the gaming population is so rabidly over-entitled that they can seriously and without parody complain about the fact that people who pay for something might have more options than people who just use something for free.

Magic and monsters exist, but only white humans exist.....

I’m not even wading in to the comments to see if there is at least one person defending a Japanese development team making insular cultural decisions regarding their own fantasy universe, because I’m sure there is at least one. That said, I really wish people would stop using this as an excuse. Final Fantasy is an

This just seems.. idiotic. You have to be truly brain dead to think that humans did not travel where land connected them.
