I watched it. Is there any way we can get these two to do every interview/public appearance together forever?

*pictures you as Dustin all grown up, but still hoarding the chocolate pudding*

Vulture's review of this episode basically states outright that Rutebega-Gekko are the heroes.

Todd VanDerWerff made a great point that this show is not merely trying to mimic the visual cues or the plot beats of these old stories, but it's also trying to recapture the *feeling* of watching them for the first time as a child, which is a far more difficult and ineffable thing to evoke, and yet they're succeeding

It was weird how Mike was insisting his mom Karen would take care of her and they'd grow up together. Meanwhile, every last person in the audience is screaming "NO! She HAS to go live with Joyce!"

"Say 'I like to suck big dicks!'"
"You like to suck big dicks!"

Oh my god, that picture is just too goddamn unbelievably precious. I want to throw my arms around it, all of it.

Obama's a guy who I feel like we won't properly appreciate until after he's been gone for some time. It's been easy to take him for granted, for all kinds of reasons. But watch when we're like 3 presidents removed, and the U.S. is even more fucked-up than it is now, and we'll be like "Wow, that guy did a pretty good

EASILY Filter's best song. It sucks that all people remember by them is "Hey Man Nice Shot", this is so much better.

Supercop soundtrack! Featuring Warren G sampling Tina Turner and an awesome Rocket From The Crypt song! Humble suggestion for this feature.

If only there was a part of a shark's anatomy he could draw some kind of comparison to with his trademark Kangol.

I also really liked the song "Lil' Boots" by Pet (I have a weakness for screaming metal women), who were apparently signed to Tori Amos's label but I'm not sure whether they even release an LP.

Courtney Love's Stevie Nicks-isms are my favorite side of her. Did she ever cover "Edge Of Seventeen?" I'd die for that.

Re-post of a comment on another thread:
The City Of Angels OST was a hugely important stage in my development as a music listener. I mostly listened to nothing but hip hop and R&B and had just recently started developing an appreciation for lighter alternative rock, darker rap, metal, and classic rock. So this

So this soundtrack gave me everything from ex-NIN

"CONVERSATION KII-I-I-ILLLLLL" is probably the biggest, most undeniable hook Weiland ever sang. What a great song.

Good article. My biggest takeaway from it is that apparently G.I. Joe comics are far more interesting than I ever imagined. I'll be looking into some of those for sure.

My absolute favorite suggestion, and there have been some good ones.

When you've got great writers like Kyle Fowle and LaToya Ferguson covering the shows, who needs book reviews?
