Holy shit that scene got the hell out of me. Feels upon feels

The Invitation either should've got to its finale sooner, or should've gone with something a little more low-key when it got there. As it was, it felt like the wrong climax walked in from a more exciting movie.

Stranger Things — Great fucking show. I can't remember the last time I was watching the first season of something and already looking forward to rewatching it when it gets done. It's derivative and it overhomages a bit, but it absolutely fucking NAILS the aesthetic it's going for. Also, the whole child cast is

God, I miss the 80s. What a pitch-perfect evocation. Thanks Netflix and these Duffer dudes.

I just watched the first episode, and had that same thought. I haven't enjoyed a Netflix show this much since BoJack. Unfortunately, this one probably won't have as much of a shelf life.

Remember that year when "Paper Planes" was everywhere, and some asshole at a party would put on "Straight To Hell" and think he was being all clever when all the drunk white girls would get all excited and start dancing to it, only to spend the next 5 minutes going "Huh? What is this? Some weird remix?"

You mean "Prolonged exposure of neck to computer may result in throat cancer make your teeth all gray".

I have the hugest soft spot for Yoshi's Cookie. It's fun and it looks delicious. Only the Gameboy version with both Mario and Yoshi working the controls in the cookie factory, though.

Figuring out that Windmill Blades was the only worthwhile weapon in that game was a fucking game changer. Now the entire game becomes about acquiring and saving up enough ninja power to last the entire level, after which you can defeat the final bosses with a single slash. Always pissed me off that they never included

Throw in Bad Dudes, Heavy Barrell and Street Fighter 2010 and I'm there yesterday.

I personally think the series is about depression, and how it poisons everything. It's summed up in the line "What's that? A lovely pie?/But you're going to end up SAD INSIDE."

Mark Ruffalo is my favorite unpunchable face. Guy is a goddamn puppy dog.

L-A-T-E-R that week. Like we're so dumb, they need to spell it out for us.

Damn, even Joni Mitchell likes this shit? Joni hates everything.

Not the most inventive riff in the world to begin with. Probably dozens of songs use that same figure.

Thought this was about Made Out Of Babies and got momentarily excited. B'oh.

JONI MITCHELL NEVER LIED

Bojack Horseman was my favorite new comedy of last year. AVC never atoned for their premature pan review.
