Great post. These comments are horrifying. The sheer vitriol of many people here is astounding, especially given how incredibly misinformed they are. This is a company which advertised itself as providing a full-time job–hence the class action suits in California, which Uber lost. Really despicable to see this kind of

Indeed. And, as all these angry commenters mention, if we are meant to take taxis instead since with their logic, Uber and Lyft drivers would cease to exist, then how the fuck are we supposed to find them? They don’t have apps that pinpoint your exact location in relation to their cars, and actually calling a company

Man, these comments are super disappointing - why are yall so adamant about sticking up for corporations? Are they paying you?

Let’s go over some things here:

1. Back in 2015, Uber and Lyft actually did pay a very nice wage. Remember all the fluff pieces backed by Uber and Lyft talking about drivers earning over 100K

Luckiest person in that video was the van driver.

Better than standing there with their finger and their thumb in the shape of an ‘L’ on their forehead.

So... as this was on a Mazda5, this was the help, not the homeowner, is this your conjecture?

The problem is not the airplane, nor the folding wings. From all reports, the aircraft handles very, very well.

Cool cars! Let us know when you drive one, I’m interested to hear about the experience.

For those that don’t understand time-in-type:

Jeeze. Why cant successfully retired and rich adrenaline junkies stick to something safer. Like cocaine. Lots of cocaine.

Wow. Textbook recklessness. This investigation won’t take long.

Playing devils advocate here, but this is a training and attitudes issue that’s been made worse by the media and non-aviation community’s involvement.

That, apparently, is how Icon describes the plane. And that’s a big mistake; thrash around on a jet ski and pretty much the worst that can happen is you end up taking a swim while your ride putters beside you, just waiting for you to get back on a try again. With planes, there are no second chances.

Saw the video on the evening news. It certainly looked to me like he was flying pretty recklessly, and outside of the parameters suggested by Icon (300 ft above water/ground). I’m sure this plane is a lot of fun to fly, and the marketing of it certainly emphasizes the stunt flying, but that’s no reason to forget one’s

But he deals with the customers so the engineers don’t have to...engineers are no good at talking to customers.

I watched almost the entire video in amazement and it finally hit me: This thing is a total parody of the people who purchase it. It’s like the billionaire version of Idiocracy.

A 4 door coupe, customer deceit indeed.

Here we see the offroader 6x6 in its natural habitat, crawling delicately around the treacherous streets of Monaco.
