The only downside of this would be that would be domestic abusers would not have fear instilled in them as one of their tribe was executed at the hands of the state.
We must trust the system to do its job, sir. At this point the man is innocent. If the system should find him guilty, though, punishment should be severe enough as to fire a warning shot at those who would think to conduct themselves in such a manner in the future. Might that be capitol punishment? It might.
Maybe not at the hands of The State, but what if he was hit by a stray bus upon release from jail?
And we should be thankful for this, of course.
He deserves a fair trial, and if convicted, a swift execution.
This fellow seems like a genuinely terrible person, but that should not override the presumption of innocence, the bedrock of our judicial system.
