I think there’s a third option. Social democratic policies tend to poll well nationally in the abstract. Democrats are just terrible at selling them in conservative-leaning districts. If they can find a way to do that, they’ll be able to maintain a ‘big tent’ congressional presence while passing ambitious legislation.

I keep crying randomly. Like I’ll be fine, and remember the last four years in a rush and then just bawl. The sense of relief comes with tears and tears and tears.

I am restricted in how much political activity I can engage in because I’m a City employee, but I acted as a poll monitor, marched in numerous protests, and contributed money to candidates both here in PA and in other battle ground states.

Nearly 20% of black men (my demo) voted for Trump, and he had the highest share of the minority vote of any Republican presidential candidate in 60 years.

I think that although he would have liked another 4 years of Trump, he got his money’s worth; destabilizing not only the U.S., possibly for years to come, but also the entire world order. And that will take years to repair, if it can ever be done.

Thank god, but no thanks to you and some of the other writers here who repeatedly damned Biden with faint praise. Oh, and thank those of us who put aside our personal feelings when our candidate (Warren, in my case) lost in the primaries and enthusiastically got behind Biden.  

Though most experts, insiders, and people who can count have declared it mathematically impossible for Donald Trump to win a second term, the election will likely go into a fifth day of ballot counting, with no concession by Trump in sight.

Never been a fan of Biden (but I fucking voted for him) but his absolute class during the vote tabulation is winning me over. His kids gloves approach to this feels like exactly what is needed.
