In my case, it was the video card that did it :) the nVidia video card drivers, to be exact. Apparently there was a phantom account that the nVidia driver created for automatic updates that caused the problem. I nuked the registry entries and that fixed it.
I seem to be getting a lot more frequent updates from Windows 10 than once a month. Not too surprising given that it’s freshly released, but still annoying, especially with that update that put my system into a reboot loop.

The typical Foxtrot Alpha article has a lot more behind it than an interesting photo. I’m actually surprised this is not on Sploid, which is more about eye candy.
They monitor clicks. Look at the huge number of clicks (and comments) this one is generating. As long as they’re not driving off a big number of readers, they have a huge incentive to do this often. And I guess one could argue that the tech angle is the website “Nameberry” (and speaking of stupid names...)

It’s more interesting than watching TV most days. Especially when you have something inside you put in there 3 months ago and forgot about it.

Among Google hardware products, I have a Nest Protect, a 2nd generation Nexus 7, and a Nexus Galaxy. Based on that experience, I’m staying away from this.

Panoramio already allows you to put your photos on Google Earth, I think. As for this, it’s not a video, but a 360 degree panorama, and who knows, maybe there’s a large group of blurry deer butt aficionados. The Internet is a strange place.
