I like the headlights, and I like the tailights.
I don’t like the rest of it. The grille is trying too hard to be different, the horizontal vents are just horrendous, and the chrome strip on the back isn’t doing it any favors either.
I’ll go one step further and say I’m excited about this.
Big, stylish GTs are my thing. So is the smooth power provided by electric. Put the 2 together and I have a new dream car.
4 accidents, 2 totaled cars... 1 month.
His hand is permanently damaged from one of them because it went through the window.
...And the man still doesn’t wear his seatbelt.
In my mind what they should do is split the company - “Harley” for the classic cruisers (it’s what they get called anyways....), and “Davidson” which builds electric bikes with full-on dystopian style.
Hold on to the old guys buying cruisers with one side, loop in new buyers with the other.
Damn, I wish I was about a decade further into my career. I want one of these so bad....
I fully intend for my next vehicle to be an EV, but my niche of preference has yet to be filled, despite being ideal for electrification.
I like big, comfortable GT coupes. The closest we’ve had is the ELR, which I’m actually kinda ok with getting (because yay depreciation), but I’d really prefer a full-on battery…
The fleet I drove for was actually rolling back from super singles due to something nobody considered - Due to the size of the tire, a blowout at highway speeds was resulting in trailers being scrapped due to damage. Aluminum trailers aren’t cheap.
“The way I see it, this crash and the spate of Tesla Autopilot mishaps lately speak to the same thing: the importance of attentive, skilled human drivers who mind these semi-autonomous vehicles at all times.”
Ultimately even attentive drivers are getting/going to get killed. The problem with BOTH of these systems is…
Part of the reason it looks bad, especially in the rear, is because this is a paraline drawing (no perspective. If I had to guess, it’s likely Isometric.
Things look really weird without perspective unless you’re used to it.
Exactly what I look for in a car.
Thankfully the market seems to be expanding right now. LC500, 8 series, S Class Coupe.... hopefully we’ll see something like this from Genesis since I’m sure that depreciation of their “just launched” models is going to be incredible.
I have the opposite problem - headrests rarely cant far enough forward to be close to the back of my neck if I’m in an upright posture (which is normally how I drive).
So yes, adjustment please.
Problem is it’s usually way too far back. I sit rather upright, which means the back of my head is in front of my back by a considerable margin, so combined with the angle of seat backs the headrest would have to jut out a solid 4" or so. Obviously no manufacturers do this because people would complain about them…
You do realize the entire left side of this interior is a touchscreen, yes? With no physical buttons for anything?
I think the bigger problem is that according to the NTSB the driver had his hand on the wheel for some unspecified length of time, until the last 6 seconds. In those 6 seconds the car left its lane, at 4 seconds before impact it *accelerated*, and then it hit the barrier. (Source: Ars Technica)
I’m thinking he meant wary - cautious about problems.
Talk about moving upmarket very quickly. Holy crap.
I like the neutral colors - as long as they are complimented by the tasteful application of a very loud accent color.
