Everything you and the commentors above is about fans too heavily invested for their own good. They do not equate to FF. If a reviewer likes a certain ship and allows that to interfere with their review that is a problem, but that is not the fault of fans who write stuff separately from that reviewer. Just because…

True a lot of FF is about sex, but there is a lot about relationship, relationships that make more sense for the characters. Though that is personal opion obviously. My favourite FFs to read and write are ones that involve legitimate conflicts and relationships that the original shows failed to explore.
