It’s so that they can make money when they put their games up for sale on Virtual Console or Virtual Console equivalent.

It’s more convincing if you read it in a vaguely eastern European accent.

You’ll probably die first

correction: It’s not the first time he’s lost before top 8 since 2012, it’s not even the first time it’s happened this year. It is however the first time he’s lost to someone ranked outside the top 6 (the tournament threats, hbox, mango, leffen, plup, m2k, ppmd) since 2010. It was an incredible 8 year streak.

Great to see some Melee coverage. Things have quite spicy lately, and as fun as it is to see certain dominant players excel, it’s nice to see the gods challenged. Hopefully the hero we need will arrive to fight the Puff menace (only sort of joking).

Those lootboxes in question cannot be purchased directly via cash or any other means, they are given free as part of progression along a “battle pass” level. The author insinuates that they could be “purchased” in the article, which is incorrect.

That is commendable, but it doesn’t tip the scale much in terms of Nintendo basically never putting their paid DLC on sale, and rarely dropping the prices on popular first party digital titles.

This seems to be the classic “they didn’t stop it so they are complicit” complaint. I have little doubt TJ Miller was an asshole on set, as he seems to be an asshole everywhere else, too. Alice Wetterlund is entitled to feel however she feels about her experience on the show, but that doesn’t mean her complaints about

I thought this was AV Club, not Jezebel.

It’s great that you want to support worker rights (and more power to you on your strike tonight) but as has been pointed out in pretty much every anti-Amazon article that has been posted today, this rhetoric seems disingenuous when the post right below yours is a Prime Day sale.
