It helps if you were a child when it came out and you only got 1-2 games per year (besides the ones you traded around with your friends) and also subscribed to Nintendo Power and weren't afraid of "spoilers."

Oh my lord. I also picked up Arms and I'm embarrassed to say that the level 2 computer is kicking my ass. This week has been pretty busy so I've only managed to put about 45 minute into the game, but each time I get wrecked.

Yeah, agreed. The 2D Marios do have some good level design, but the worlds lack that feeling of life evident in the best Nintendo games. Super Mario 3 and World are full of surprises that encourage you to explore every nook and cranny because you're guaranteed to find something interesting. The way the map in World

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Super Mario World are two of my go to games for comfort in hard times. Although I have both almost completely memorized, I can get lost in them for hours almost no matter my state. I hope your play or other life helps break the chrysalis of your melancholy.

I hate those too, but the yelp ones feel particularly vindictive—these are actual human beings that you see and talk to! Also, I sometimes get the feeling that they're just trying to extract free food out of the restaurant using yelp as a form of public blackmail. It just icks me out.

I hate Yelp reviewers.
5 stars: My favorite restaurant, I go there every day.
1 star: The last time I went there they forgot to send out the french fries. After I informed them of this, they took off the charge and offered to send out french fries immediately but by then I didn't want them.

If they really want to win me over, some of the ads should be vintage Sega commercials. BLAST PROCESSING!

Oh, I think I misread what you said: you think that this was helpful? Interesting! I've only read (and tend to believe) that it was harmful, but I could definitely be wrong. How was it helpful?

Yeah, I was definitely thinking of that too. I'm not sure that'll be the only reason (nor do I really think that's what you're arguing) but it's certainly not helpful and contributes to the story that he's immature and inexperienced.

"[T]he great irony is that the law operates as a substantial transfer of resources from states Democrats represent to those Republicans represent."

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm laughing too. I'm in the mocking group. It's just…worrisome.

This is the future the internet has wrought. We'll get to see embarrassing videos of every person who receives a modicum of fame and mock them for ever trying.

Huzzah! I'd say more (c'mon! Mumm-Ra's Egyptian origin clearly defy Kid Icarus' Greek setting; Kid Icarus's successful wing acquisition reveals the Icarus relation to be a red herring, so his journey truly represents that of Tiresias and his transformation into a female and back again by two snakes—the eggplant

That is a noble goal and, if your commentary is even a slight representation of you as a person, one I'm certain that you exemplify wholly in your life.

I feel like this is the metacritic effect—open world games were getting higher scores and that leads to more sales so let's make more open worlds. The same thing happened with multiplayer about 7-8 years ago—remember when all those single player games had multiplayer tacked on? Uncharted, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Metal

So much great advice here. I'll only add two things:

I throw my intense admiration into the hat and a shared sense of inadequacy to respond. But you last post reminded me of one of my favorite songs, "Pale Green Things" by The Mountain Goats. In this short, elegiac song, John Darnielle (the lead singer) recalls a single pleasant day with his otherwise abusive stepfather

Yes, you're here too?

Sure, they slip up now and again (the New 2D Mario games range from uninspired to downright dull which almost angers me) but there's no game company out there that evokes such emotion through play alone. Whether it's the awe of Zelda or the sheer joy of 3d Mario (or their many many other projects), I think they've
