I 100% support this trade. Conley is a fine player that I greatly admire, but he doesn’t have a tenth of the “offensive gravity” that LeBron has. Gasol would be the happy benefactor of all the open space Lebron creates.

In human history, more people have walked on the moon than have scored an earned run off of Mariano Rivera in the postseason.

Manufacturers think men are lazy (there maaaaaay be some evidence to support this). I was looking for shower gel yesterday and saw way too many “3 in 1" products: shampoo, conditioner, body wash.

I won’t weigh in on the definitive wrongness of Mr Draper’s closing comment. I will commend him for his bloggerly wisdom of closing with a piping hot take to spur further commenting. Well done.....

Sichting was game, but I don’t know that he could have handled Sampson.  I’d bet a full sized Snickers bar that DJ would have taken Sampson out if they’d been left alone (think Hockey style fight) despite getting a cut.

Spoiled milk-filled boat shoe repurposed as a moat for mice with sentience Tucker Carlson is a person who exists...

I’d add Kerr to your list of positives. He seems thoughtful, speaks out on social issues when so moved or specifically asked, doesn’t seem to use the media as a way to scold or motivate his team, and (from a fan’s viewpoint) seems like a “player’s coach”.

Come on, man. Are you saying you don’t crack a smile when Steph buries a heat check jumper from 6' behind the arc? Not even a little grin?

I bristle at the flag-humping commercialization of it all. Roger Godell CHARGES the military for the showy military displays and then basks in the warmth of Presidential adulation for “doing the right thing”. The teams release their Camo-themed shirts to “support the troops”, then Nike sells those limited edition

Yeah, they played well.  Murray was on fire and clearly not afraid of the Warriors D.  They just ran into a buzz saw.

According the the tech wonks who study such things, a big part of Harden’s game is his ability to decelerate. That and flopping, gotta acknowledge the flopping.

Does it make me a bad person that I watched that loop for about 2 minutes?  You know what, IDGAF if it does.  That was lovely to watch.

Oh man! There’s been a young Charles Barkley sighting in the clip above! I fondly remember that the “Round Mound of Rebound” was a force of nature. What my mind mercifully erased from memory was the image of the ChuckWagon in those shorty shorts!

It still required a lot more effort than he probably would have liked, and put extra responsibility on his teammates to pick up the offensive slack.

That speaks to my point that he’s an incredibly durable specimen!

Like Dom, I’m siding with my “Home Town” guy and will argue that Sid is the better player. If you switched Sid and Ovi, I don’t think the Pens win as many Cups.

+1! The West is deep and the East has 3-4 solid contenders that can challenge the best of the West.

Damn, poor Haack made a pretty sweet tackle but when he jumped up, none of his teammates on the field even acknowledged him. He had to wait for a guy on the sidelines to come over and give him some love.

I feel the same way about Bonds. 100% HOF guy, but we’re doing this stupid morality dance re: PED’s. Please spare me.

“technically” true in that Oleksiak got a fist up first. But Oleksiak was in transition towards offense and was watching the play while Wilson was lining him up, dropping his gloves, and initiating contact. Wilson straight up jumped him and Oleksiak had an instant to transition from hockey player to fighter. Didn’t go
