Now, not only is this casting utterly uninspiring, but it’s also mildly confusing, as I had been led to believe that Pratt was being cast in movies largely because some people allegedly find him “hot” (because it’s clearly not for his acting abilities) and yet his face will not even be in this movie...... how puzzling!

I have a bad feeling that the movie is going to have the exact same plot as The Lego Movie. It’ll open with everything being wonderful in The Mushroom Kingdom, and a Mario [Pratt] voiceover talking about how wonderful his life is with all the go-karts and tennis and golf, AND the love of his life, before Bowser…

Because the celebritization of voice casting is fucking stupid and makes it harder for actual voice actors to find work.

Assumptions don’t do anybody any good. We don’t know that a crime has even been committed. Do circumstances point to something suspicious? Yes, they do. But that’s not actually evidence. Everything you’ve said is an assumption. Should the police look into this? Yes, they should. But that’s where I leave it.

I think there are a lot of plausible reasons he might have decided to leave without knowing her present whereabouts, but there are also a lot of plausible reasons to believe he murdered her in the middle of nowhere.

So basically you’ve got the boyfriend who’s clearly done something whether it be murder, manslaughter, or deliberately abandoning her in the wilderness (even if you’d just split up acrimoniously with someone I think most of us would want to help police find that someone we cared about if their life was threatened…
