No, they never said they were going to be poor. But, it’s just tone deaf to say “we see going to be financially independent” on their millions of inherited wealth. Plus it sounds like they will be getting money from the Duchy of Cornwall.

The Q&A mentions that 95% of their income comes from the Duchy of Cornwall and 5% from the Sovereign Grant.... But all the subsequent answers just talk about how they are no longer acceptimg money the Sovereign Grant. So, it sounds like the will still be accepting money from the Duchy (if they can? Their website claims they will continue living there, with the Queen's permission. But the way it was worded, it was clear if they had her permission and were going to continue living there with it. Or, if they were going to continue to live there if the Queen gives them permission to. 

They don’t live as extravagantly as some people with the money they have. But I’m sure their home in North America will be a giant mansion/compound like they stayed at for Christmas. I’m sure they will still hop a jet to go visit their friends the Clooneys in Italy, I’m sure their trips to Africa will still involve…

I love how the keep talking about financial independence after saying that only 5% of their income comes from the Sovereign Grant. I noticed it said nothing about giving up the money that comes from the Duchy of Cornwall.

And I absolutely can’t do one, so I’m glad I have a justification beyond “listen dude, I just really hate them.”

Sort of. But, they sure did love to talk about how much they liked her and her ideas and how much they really wished she would run. But, now that she is *crickets*.
