Mommy Friends may have a lot to do with it, but if I may ask, what is your life like? Are you single/pursuing your dreams/free to go and do as you please? If so, envy might play a role here- she may not want to be reminded of how different her life is now.

Agreed. All dogs look this "human" to me. I don't really get what the big deal is- but if it helps get him adopted, I'm all for it.
