Those of you who know me know that I am not the world's biggest FFVII fan, and have no real interest in a remake of the game. But even I have to admit that I felt my heart skip a beat when Hashimoto started talking up VII like he was about to announce a remake.

I've always hated tramp stamps and am usually 100% against them, but at this point in time it'd be funny if someone got this as a tramp stamp.

How are you grey on this site with a name like that.

Yeah, this is a really cool idea. Sheer volume would mean we couldn't get to everything, but this would be a great way to improve the site, ourselves, etc. Thanks for the suggestion!

If you've not played Chrono Trigger go. Go and do it now. Drop everything else, and get on it.

I'm not trying to be an ass here—but that game had a profound impact on me. It dropped when I was fourteen years old—and eighteen years later, I still play it at least once (if not twice) every year.

CT was master-class for

I think you should, friend.

Get the "Redux" releases if it's in your budget; 2033 benefits -immensely- from the upgrade.

Above all else, should you play the games, live by this mantra: ask questions first, shoot only when you're forced. You -will- have to enact violence at certain points—it's unavoidable—but in 2033,

Not a bad idea at all. I will pass this along to bossman Totilo.

"Andrew Jackson, in the foyer of his White House, had a big block of cheese. The block of cheese was huge - over two tons. And it was there for any and all who might be hungry. Jackson wanted the White House to belong to the people, so from time to time, he opened his doors to those who wished an audience. It is in

The thing is, it's not even necessarily a matter of deal making. El Shaddai and Catherine both appeared on the PlayStation 3 and 360. You know where they didn't appear? The PC.

Cloud wasn't emo until Advent Children. In the original FFVII he was just a sarcastic dick.

Hence, why I stated some of those games come to PCs sporadically. Though most don't appear on the platform at all.

It should be obvious by now that I like games with an emphasis on story and character. What interest would I have in a game that has neither? FTL may be a great game, but it literally does not appeal to any of my tastes. I'm also not a big fan of games that are built around dying and starting over constantly until

I did turn it down. The problem is that getting swarmed by enemies and having no healing spell - and having limited-use regen potions that wear off before I even take damage - really doesn't constitute entertaining combat for me. The overall flow just doesn't work.

I don't consider indie games to be noncrap, Straw. I'm not interested in four-hour flash games and appeals to NES nostalgia. I'm not interested in some DigiPen art student's thoughts on gender dysphoria. I'm not interested in ANY of that stuff.

The problem is that games like Yakuza, Final Fantasy, Dead or Alive, Tekken, Metal Gear, Legend of Heroes, Ys, Kingdom Hearts, Tales of, and so on either aren't coming to the PC at all or do so very sporadically.

You seem to be more engaged by Western games and thus unwilling to see diversity in the Japanese market. That's fine. But again, and I keep saying this because it's important - I'm not saying that Japan is more diverse than the West.

I hear you. I'm hoping that FFXV using Hamlet as its core narrative inspiration and utilizing the road movie concept as its basis will bring it back in line with telling an actual story instead of a series of goofy anime vignettes. There's real potential in what they're trying to explore with XV, the question really
