When I was a kid I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Timberwolves basketball camp. This was right at the beginning of the Garnett/Marbury/Gugliotta years. Flip was always around helping other kids out. I won the “hustle” award (yes I was an un-athletic kid, but I worked hard and they recognized that dammit!!)

Where is Bourdain saying that we have to rely on immigrants because the conditions are so bad no only else would do the job? His point on culinary students are they are expecting to be handed the best job in the kitchen right out of culinary school, rather than working their way up and learning. He is criticizing

This is what drives me to save as much as I can in my 20s. I don’t do as many fun things some of my friends do (most of the time I wouldn’t enjoy these things anyway), but I know I will be more prepared later in life.

I tried this a few weeks ago and was really impressed. I’m a fan of Boulevard (had their wheat and pale ale on tap at my wedding) and they didn’t disappoint on this one. Like you I couldn’t drink much more than one in a sitting, but that’s part of why it’s good in my opinion.

You just need to start and learn while you go. Don’t go jumping into individual securities right away, but look into index funds and other funds from Fidelity, Vanguard, Schwab, etc. The investing world is huge and it is easy to get overwhelmed.

Bosco Galapagos 2016! The evolution FIFA needs!

Fuck that, I’m reading these at work and I’m getting jumpy at little noises.

I think that one was in last year’s as well. Still creeped me out this time.

Why do I read these? It scares the hell out of me but I can’t help it.

Also make sure you familiarize yourself with typical weather patterns for the area and time of year. For example, if you are hiking 14ers in Colorado there typically is a daily afternoon thunderstorm that rolls in very quickly. You don’t want to be above the tree line during one of those, so early hikes are a must.

This isn’t shocking, to win the World Cup bid you had to bribe. Even though Germany is an ideal country to host it, bribery had to occur for them to win. Countries don’t have a choice if they want to win. The fact that Qatar won over better prepared countries like the US, Japan, and Australia proves this.

You’re correct with needing the $1.25 million to get $50,000 a year using the 4% rule, which is a good rule of thumb of what you will need. Doubling your retirement each decade isn’t too difficult to be honest. If you get 6% return (historically S&P500 has had around 7% average), in a decade that $80k you reference

It could go up to $3000, but if you invest it it won’t matter.

I remember my friend telling me in 30 years we will need $10 million to retire. That’s BS, unless you want a vacation home in Hawaii and to travel constantly all over the world that is not required. Most people do not need to be a millionaire to retire. My mother-in-law plans on staying at home and working around the

If you can control reject any content doesn’t that defeat the purpose of their original shitty idea?

I love Katie Nolan. She is so good at expressing the truth of the matter when it comes anything. She deserves much more than a late night weekly TV show.

Katie Nolan is always on point.

It didn’t help that she was an awful house guest. I shouldn’t have been surprised that she did that, but I wish I would have been more polite. It started too much drama, which I don’t care about on a personal level but it affects my wife.

It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. After I lost a lot of weight, one of my friends who was trying and struggling to lose weight started telling me how lucky I was that I could lose weight so easily at a cookout I was hosting. He then proceeded to eat several burgers and brats, a ton of chips, and several sodas/beers. He
