I’m an interpreter, and I love to hear of deaf people getting appropriate support and inclusion. As you know, it feels so often like an uphill battle to get deaf kids accommodations anywhere near what they need to succeed.

I tend to agree with you. The problem is that people don’t tend to view groping as violence. Which is a serious issue in and of itself.

I don’t think there’s anything inherently chauvinistic about being upset that someone hurt a person you love. I can’t answer the question about if retaliating with violence makes you “just as bad” as the initial abuser, but something has to be done.

I read a really interesting article a while back positing that it’s unethical NOT to do medical trials regarding pharmaceutical safety and efficacy during pregnancy, and laying out some ideas for best practices to do so safely. It was eye opening.

Horseshoe crabs are so awesome! I learned about them at an aquarium several years ago and then bought a stuffed animal one because I wasn’t so jazzed.
