Oh my god I just want to squeeze them!

Ok, so on Friday night I went out with some friends and invited a guy I'd been talking to on OkCupid to come out with us (being responsible and not meeting online randos alone and whatnot). It was great.

Children's impressions of race ate really interesting/weird.

Haha, thanks!

That's super fucked up (the adult reaction, not that you had a black Ken).

My Ken doll got eventually got wrapped in foil and made into an "Oscar" standing on a platform of cassette boxes after my uncle had a movie in a film festival.

I had forgotten about this and now I'm dying laughing all over again!

Can you imagine if we expressed this idea outside of Jez comments? People would be livid.

People are assholes. I wish I had something more productive to say.

That there was enough of an instance of parents not treating their kids' illnesses that a fucking law had to be put into place so people wouldn't kill their children. Sorry, I was in a blind rage and failed to notice that my comment made it seem like I was sympathetic to the parents.

This makes me so fucking angry!

We grant people too much religious freedom in this country. I know it's a slippery slope, but your rights end where someone else's begin. You, as an adult, want to be an idiot and not get treated for life threatening illnesses? Fine. You don't get to tell someone else (even if it's your own kid) that they can't.

He is my absolute favorite. His skating is so much more expressive and interesting than what these other guys do. And he seems so genuine and humble and honestly surprised when he does well.

I feel really terrible for laughing at this as hard as I did.

I'm also permagrey. Mark recommended my comment once and I was all, "I think this is it!" It wasn't.

That's awesome. I don't really wear hats, but I would if it was a Spice Girls hat!

It's a Spice miracle!

I bet the internet can deliver for you. Probably pretty cheaply, too.

I had the worst depressive episode I've had in a long time this past week. I think it's finally coming to an end, but it's been really, really fucking bad. I wrote a Kinja blog about it and shared it on Facebook, which, in retrospect, could have been really terrible, but people have been very supportive.

Just remember that applying for a job in no way means you have to take it! You're keeping your options open. If it comes down to getting offered the position, then you will have some time to decide if it's really something that will mesh with your life. Which is not to say you should put off thinking about it, but
