Or "pacifically" instead of "specifically." I'm all, "You want me to be more Pacific? What does that mean exactly? You want me to wear puka shells and eat sprouts?"

How have you not smacked her? I'm not usually one to resort to violence, but that would make me seethe.

I don't even have anything to say about these things anymore. I feel so defeated all the time.

I think you're right.

You can get herpes even WITH a condom on.

The secret is that you can't stop drinking. Which ends up being it's own kind of terrible, but it chases away the sleepies, at least for a while.

That helps immensely! It's gonna be a constant gif party over here.

Are we totally sure this whole monarchy thing isn't a huge, elaborate prank?

Disliking tennis and loving day drinking? They really ARE just like us!

I have nothing else to add other than to say that I love Amy Poehler! Such a happy surprise at the end of your comment!

My mom and I have an awesome relationship, and I just thought about how our relationship compares with my friendships. You're right! While I am certainly friendly with her and we're able to go have fun and she can come do things with my friends, it's a different thing. I guess my point is that there's plenty of time

Many deaf people (generally those who use American Sign Language) view themselves as a linguistic and cultural minority. Maybe it's a little clearer if you frame it as "something in need of a fix" as opposed to just "something being broken"? So, while they indeed can't hear, they don't feel like it's a problem that is

Agreed. And I think they also perpetuate the idea that these technologies are perfect (or near perfect) and will essentially make a child "hearing," when in fact they come with their own issues. A study actually came out recently that concluded that deaf/hh kids have the best outcomes when supported by the
