Okay, so this is a really good post, and while we both recognize the cynical limitations of impeachment, we diverge on the value of either “do it anyway, restore the intent of the check on power” (me), or “why bother, it’s futile” (you).

Since we refuse to put our leaders on trial in this country, this scenario of Chuck, Nancy, and Donny all leaving a courthouse shackled and in orange jumpsuits will only come to pass following awe inspiring violence.
