Certainly, the price of college is appalling! But if you put the true cost in perspective BEFORE taking out a huge student loan, you'll be more apt to regard a college education in the proper light, as an investment with some degree of risk (especially depending on your intended major).

If you build a little flexibility into your budget, you won't feel like a failure if you go over budget. It's psychological rather than financial, but the psychological aspect is probably even more important than the numbers. Thanks for sharing this, Kristin!
