For one thing, you shouldn’t drive barefoot...in fact, I believe it’s illegal in most states.

The problem is that the main floor covering necessitates things like Weathertech floor mats. What is even the benefit of carpeted floors then, if you just have to cover them with another layer that doesn’t let you see or feel the carpet?
