I believe it comes down to the concentration. Too much and it'll make help induce vomiting. Actually, too much and it'll kill you. But, the right (low) concentration and it's balanced enough with your system to just flush you out.

I test drove the R line for M-B. I enjoyed it. Had a real blast when they told us to blow em up. (But would not pay so much for the R63, even though its bad ass. C63 Estate on the other hand...)

Its a CYA thing from what I understand. The league and the team have a certain obligation to the players health and well being. The last thing the leagues wants is to be responsible for impacting this guys future ability to earn a living.
