This is my first thanksgiving in Ireland, and they don’t care.

I somehow found this shocking because in Lebanon people LOVED Thanksgiving. Turkeys became a thing in November over the 6 years I was there, and the mixture of French cooking styles, oppressively generous Arab hospitality and gluttonous American culture

Hey now, let’s not drag Satan into this. That guy’s got enough PR issues already.

I lived in Beirut for 6 years, so my parasites have parasites that laugh at those invasive bacteria.

Weaver has been a part of terrible things (like Sarah Palin), but his rehabilitation tour has been entertaining.

The problem isn’t the food, it’s that cities don’t want homeless people gathering in nice areas and spoiling the view for rich people.

I’ll permit novelty holiday music only if you play it on the wrong holiday.

I’ll admit that I’m a bit of a Scrooge, but I’m fully willing to accept holiday music in stores starting around December 23.

This is one of the few articles I’ve read where I feel like I have to thank the writer for everything that I learned.

What does he mean a last minute decision? Like he had both of those costumes just LAYING AROUND ready to use?

That was a good move by Devin.

I’ve got a spouse with chronic disease and trauma, which limits my options.

I’ve made my morning breakfast hunt a similar ritual when I’m in a hotel. I get antsy waiting around a cramped  hotel room, so I’ll google a few options for places nearby and go for a walk. It’s a nice way to wake up, and it takes the edge off of my conference jitters if I have them.

Definitely true. I travel a lot through the Middle East and I always arrive at hotels with a few big bottles of water under the assumption that I shouldn’t be drinking from the tap. Even some of the older buildings on the East Coast can be somewhat suspect- I’m sure a few of the places I stayed in Boston and New York
