@Shinta: For some, watching TV is better than playing a video game. That doesnt make either superior to the other.

@Lockgar: Storywise they are complex. JRPG's are basically linnear story tellings. You have minimal control over what happens. Basically all you are doing is watching the story, and fighting battles.

Seems like a blowback response after the guys over at square attacked Western RPG's (Bioware at the forefront) as being 'too complicated' and not good for eastern markets.
