Trust me, I understand. The Republican Party has turned itself into a reactionary institution so at one level, I can’t understand how any one can support them. But on the other hand, I AM able to make sense of it given the state of our politics and society.

I can’t express just how insidious the language and structure of this sentence is. Psychotic or not, as you and others have pointed out, the dangerous nature of what he said is what disturbs me to NO end. It allows the conspiratorial minded among us to wallow in fear and loathing of some unknown, shadowy other.

They will pause but it ain’t going anywhere. How much did they pay what’s his name for his franchise again? They have to recoup that money. If they wanted to make ME happy though, they would make a follow-up series that picked up where Rebels left off (not necessarily right after).
