I'm not a big fan of Madonna's music, but I have recently become a huge fan of Madonna herself. She is one of the original truly self-directed women out there, and has set a precedent for lots of others, in that she has always been the subject of very harsh criticism and gives zero fucks about it.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Janelle Monae, Betty White, FKA twigs, Jesse Williams, Jessica Williams, and there's way more. I could go on and on.

That was exactly my thought. Aggressive my ass. She had the audacity to stand up for herself and express that something made her uncomfortable. Since she didn't just acquiesce like a sweet little woman is supposed to, she got labeled "aggressive."

Aggressive is just dog whistle sexism. That's what it ALWAYS means.
