Don't thongs climb into your crack? I wear full on grannie style undies and they never make their way into mine.

You can pry my so called "granny panties" out of my cold dead hands. Thongs defeat the purpose of underwear altogether. And how anyone can walk around with a full on wedgie all day long is beyond me.

Her role in Django was practically already an SNL skit. I mean, I know it was a riff on Hollywood stereotypes but couldn't they have given her some kind of substance? Anything to do other than to damsel in distress?

Wow. My jaw literally dropped. That's shocking.

SNL should try to steal Jessica Williams from the Daily Show.

Don't be an ass. Just because it's Reddit doesn't mean it isn't credible. They site a number of reputable sources as well.

Nope, you don't sound snobby. You sound informed. I've just read a lot lately about studies with mice not reflecting what happens with human populations. And personally, I do find the thing about inhaling blush to be a big leap. Unless you're really fluffing that blush up and plooms of it are billowing in your face...

Yes, testing on rats (or mice or whatever) is a decent start. But it's not enough to then say that whatever happened to rats will happen to people. And yes, the point about factory workers and people who mine these ingredients is important. But it's all a huge leap to then say that a blush which contains silica and

I was appreciative of her response until I clicked her newly created link for titanium dioxide. It's a 466 page monograph. Talk about journalistic integrity! Think she read the whole thing? And the pertinent information is a study on chronic titanium dioxide inhalation in rats.

Thank you. Yes. Yes to everything you said. And I'll add that IMO publishing this article and making money off of the fear and outrage it inspires is taking advantage of women too, just like the pinkwashing Erin condemns.

I spent my morning reading about the effects of bad science and the poor reporting of it. So I was primed to be pissed. And I didn't need to Google it, FYI, I was already aware there are no conclusive studies on cosmetic use of titanium dioxide causing cancer.

None that I know of. The problem lies in the fact that no one actually knows what is safe to use cosmetically and what isn't. The research hasn't been done and nothing so far has been conclusive. It's basically the wild west.

I appreciate that but my point applies to most of what you've written here. Oxybenzone and parabens have not been proven to cause cancer either. What we need to be pissed off about is that a. no one is doing proper research on whether these ingredients are safe or not and b. companies are allowed to put whatever

Ex-fuckin-actly!

Ok, I really do appreciate where you're coming from with this, but to say things like "contains silica and titanium dioxide, which can cause cancer by inhalation" without backing that up is an inflammatory scare tactic aka bullshit. Where did you get this? And FYI the SkinDeep database is full of unreliable

Where are the fativists?

Lucky for all of us you aren't judge and jury. I'll never understand why every random person thinks they're entitled to all of the details. We have actual judges and juries for that.

Did I say she was raped? No. And "whatever that means" is that a serious crime was committed.

What possible legal reason could there be for not firing a sexual predator? The mind boggles. And that it wouldn't be worth the police's time? Is he a Senator's son or something? What the fuck!
