Butt man myselfs.

To connect you with the pilot, making him (her) more than a faceless character or living widget to simply be killed off anonymously. If you can't connect to a character how can you care about him?

Anyone who has ever owned a dog, cat, or parrot could have confirmed consciousness ages ago. What a problem conclusive proof of this will be for "believers" and other superstitious types. Might make for an interesting future political hot potato too.

edit - wrong place, sorry.

What, not a single mention of Braveheart or any ten Japanese films to include all the greats starring Mifune?

Charlie Jane, is there any indication when these trailers will be made public? Thanks.

I've already read every Dynamo Joe, so this will be fun.

Been a while since I read it, but this idea was an element in the excellent novel "the killing star." And has some interesting twists.

So the Host movie seems a bit too much like Puppet Masters. I have not read it, perhaps someone can comment?

That's the best laugh I've had on the net all day, thanks.

I wrote a script for a film a few years ago and it involved a female character using a bow and arrow to accomplish her goals. I suppose I "was" ahead of my time. Alas no more.

Another silly video game...oh wait, this is a movie?

If you read the article and understand it, why so defensive? This article is about European arts and the Go Rin No Sho is not relevant. Interestingly though, The Journal of Asian Martial Arts did a very good report on the similarity of European & German Longsword Arts and Kenjutsu. That article had some

That is a gross over simplification of sword combat, and kind'a funny. "Exposure" is just a movie. European sword arts reached a zenith every bit as sophisticated at Japanese Kenjutsu. I've studied both and to call the principles learned ornaments is just inaccurate.

Great to see you here Mr. Clements, I've read your book on swordsmanship and founded a small study group to work on your ideas & approach, that was years ago we've since disbanded but we had a good time with it. Your above article would have benefited from a few examples, a youtube video or two, compare/contrast; so

There are actually very few, to almost no, legitimate teachers of ancient sword craft left in Japan and many of the supposed experts are the same kind of charlatans the Western world faces. It would seem the Yagyu lineage is legit Koryu Kenjutsu, many others are not. I am not referencing Kendo in this regard as it's

Totally 100% agree.

YES! haha! suck it dis-'believers!'

Here's a quote: "Such confinement began in the Age of Enlightenment, after sugar made the transition from apothecary's prescription to candymaker's confection."
