I'll look on google, I'd imagine there are some pics of the bottom of an SL600 somewhere online already... I may also look up the dimensions of the standard mufflers that come on the SL600 and of the Corvette mufflers and see how much difference there is... I'm sure the Corvette mufflers would need some modifications

Thanks for the link, but the ad says "engine is bad" which kinda ruins the idea... Plus, it'll probably be a bit before I'm ready to buy one. Aside from that, I'm in the Philadelphia, PA area, so that's a bit too far away for me to be interested.

Thank you for the link. Although I'm still going to look into fitting Corvette mufflers first when the time comes. Merely because they already contain an electronically actuated butterfly valve and a muffler bypass channel. It'll save me time and cut down on the amount of work it'll take do the exhaust. If the

Hmm... I wonder if the Corvette mufflers that have the butterfly valves in them would fit where the Merc's mufflers are located... I think that's an idea worth looking into... If they will fit, then after swapping the headers, it's just a case of modifying the Corvette mufflers as necessary and installing them. Put a

Well, I'm not sure that would work with this exhaust system... It's the headers that make the difference here... If I recall correctly, the normal headers on the M120 v12 in the SL are unequal length headers which helps quiet down and smooth out the sound of the exhaust... The car in the video above has had the stock

Now playing

If and/or when I get one, it's gotta have a V12. I want to own a V12 car at some point, and I would not mind it being an SL. Particularly, I want one with the M120 v12 so I can make it sound like a Pagani Zonda. I can not afford a Zonda, so having a Merc that sounds like one is an acceptable alternative, imho... I

I've always liked that era of SL... I think they still look good... think I'll head over to eBay motors to see how much they're going for these days.

"Footwork Arrows? XD"

Um... What?

He could have had the parking brake on... unless of course the Prius' parking brake locks the front wheels instead of the rear... anyone know?

Even if it's not vaporware (although it still could be, Jaguar C-X75 was almost fully developed for production when Jag axed it), I highly doubt it'll compare to the other Hyper-Hybrids out there like the LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918, and any others that might pop up... Frankly, what I think they should do, is

I'm certain Ford will... I am of the opinion that the new NSX is either vaporware, or it's going to be completely irrelevant by the time Honda actually finishes it... I know that when the rumors of a new NSX (what, 7 years ago now?) were starting to pop up, I was excited about it, but now I couldn't care less... IMHO,

Hahaha.... You're an idiot if you think drifting doesn't take driving skills, and frankly you should just stop talking now... I'm guessing that you're one of those people who thinks anyone can drift? If you are one of those people, you're wrong. Go tell a drifter he can't drive, I bet he'd bust out laughing at you,

Are you seriously suggesting that drifters can't drive? Are you mentally deficient? It takes skill to be able to control a car while lighting up the rear wheels...

Um... Where is the Bugatii Veyron Super Sport? That's a HUGE omission from this list. No one in 1989 would have believed that there would come a car that weighs about 2 tons, has a Quad-turbo W16 engine that has 12 Radiators, does 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, 0-200 in 22.2 seconds, and tops out at 268 mph... all while being

So, what, are you too good to use a pencil?

Easy... Corvette... As fast or faster than the competition, handles as well or better, has more trunk space, and better fuel economy, it's less expensive, and just as comfortable... why spend more money on cars that aren't better?

Am I the only one who wants to see more of this thing in action? Terror Tractor Vs. Stig's Tractor... Somebody get on it...

Is it just me, or is that truck slightly bending in the middle when they press the gas? Watch closely... it looks like when he puts his foot down, the rear of the bed bends down, while the middle of the truck rises. Also, when they show the engine compartment, when they hit the gas, it looks like the frame is being

Anyone else see the "G63 AMG 6x6" plates and immediately realize that this is obviously a publicity stunt by Mercedes themselves? It makes perfect sense for them to take one to a supercar trackday, as it's a $600,000+ vehicle, and the only people who can afford one are supercar owners.
