I don’t even know what a core game mechanic that codified sexuality would even look like. Would there be Feats? New Skills? Would Sexuality join the 6 existing ability scores? Proficiency in hitting on people? Would Paladins get an Oath of Eroticism?

Not really. As much as we fixate on Characters in fighting games, it’s the Match-ups that are the actually exciting thing about fighters. The first Marvel vs Capcom was almost purely recycled characters and that game is awesome ( I only say ‘almost purely’ because I don’t have time to research it right now).
