These crossovers are what the company is going for because unlike body on frame these can be built down existing lines in car plants that are currently running under capacity, rather than retooling car plants or adding more burden to already over worked truck plants. It's a win win for the company. 

I build cars for a living, there are several things that will stop the line. Management generally will be on your ass quickly if you do. Normally it’s not the employee’s safety that will cause downtime, but the customer’s safety.

I see this all the time at work. Racks secured to the floor with only a 50% available anchor points. Skilled trades just blames someone else when the forklift driver shears those bolts right off and sends them flying like bullets across the room.

It would for sure help with checking rocker clearances while off road or rock crawling with the doors on.

It’s like that game of beer pong that lasts an hour because no one can get a ball in a cup.
